The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Company Commander posts in the Bihar Home Guard. Eligibility criteria
Candidates must meet the following eligibility conditions:
- Must be an Indian citizen.
- Both male, female and third gender candidates are eligible to apply.
- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification.
- The educational qualification and age will be calculated as on August 1, 2025.
Age limitAs on August 1, 2025, the age limits are:
- General (Male): 20 to 37 years
- General (Female): 20 to 40 years
- Backward Class (BC) and Extremely Backward Class (EBC): 20 to 40 years
- Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Third Gender: 20 to 42 years
Age relaxation for Bihar government employees and ex-servicemen will be applicable as per government rules.
Physical standards
Height:
- General/BC male: 165 cm
- EBC/SC/ST male: 160 cm
- Female: 155 cm
Chest (Male only):
- General/BC/EBC: 81 cm (unexpanded), 86 cm (expanded)
- SC/ST: 79 cm (unexpanded), 84 cm (expanded)
Weight:
- Female candidates: Minimum 48 kg.
Application fee
The application fee for all categories of male, female and third gender candidates is ₹100. Bank transaction charges, if applicable, will have to be paid separately.
