The company said the strong performance continued the momentum seen in FY26. It added that the mined ore excludes 5.9 million tonnes of banded hematite quartzite (BHQ), which will be processed once its beneficiation plants are commissioned.
Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) production stood at 182,460 tonnes during the quarter, up 131% from 79,000 tonnes in the year-ago period. The company said its two new kilns are fully commissioned and operating at capacity.
Pellet production reached 1.69 million tonnes in Q1FY27. Lloyds Metals said it recently commissioned its 4 million tonnes pellet plant, taking its total annual pellet production capacity to 8 million tonnes. The company added that demand for output from both plants has been strong in domestic as well as international markets, while Plant 1 is now operating at full capacity.
The company also reported copper production of 2,754 tonnes during the quarter. It said copper production commenced at the Surya mines in March 2026, making it India’s first company with mine-to-market capabilities in copper. The reported output also includes residual production from the Chemaf plant.
Shares of Lloyds Metals and Energy closed 0.56% lower at ₹1,800.20 on the NSE on July 1.
