In the notification, the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers said that the manufacturers of formulations or “new dry”, of the DPCO, 2013, shall fix the retail price not exceeding the price.

Furthermore, the statement said that any other existing manufacturer launching the same new drug within twelve months of the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette is permitted to do so at a retail price not exceeding the price specified in the column.
Some of the drugs mentioned in the list include Tenecteplase (TNK-TPA) Injection, Combikit Darunavir, Ritonavir & Dolutegravir Tablets, Amoxicillin, Aspirin and Potassium Clavulanate Dispersible Tablets, among others

This decision comes about a couple of months after a similar move in which the NPPA reduced retail prices of 42 drug formulations. In this decision, taken in May by the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) under the Drugs Prices Control Order (DPCO), according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers.
