The meetings are part of the Commission’s stakeholder consultation process, during which it is gathering views and recommendations from employee representatives before finalising its report.
In a notice dated July 23, 2026, the Commission said it will interact with associations, federations and unions of Central government and Union Territory employees that are located or registered in Delhi.
However, only those organisations that have already submitted their memorandum and have not yet interacted with the Commission either in Delhi or in any other state or Union Territory are eligible to seek an appointment for these meetings.
Interested organisations must submit their request online by July 31, 2026, along with their unique Memo ID. The Commission said the venue and meeting timings will be communicated separately.
More consultations planned across states
The Commission also said it will hold additional meetings in Delhi and in various states and Union Territories over the coming months.
Employee associations and unions outside the Delhi-NCR region can seek an appointment to interact with the Commission in their own state or Union Territory, or in a nearby location when such meetings are scheduled.

Why these meetings matter
Consultations with employee unions and associations are a standard part of every Pay Commission’s functioning. During these interactions, stakeholders typically present memorandums covering issues such as pay structure, allowances, pensions, career progression and service conditions.
The Commission reviews these submissions along with inputs from ministries, departments and state governments before preparing its recommendations for the Centre.
What is the 8th Pay Commission?
The 8th Central Pay Commission was constituted by the Centre to recommend revisions to the salary structure, allowances and pension benefits of Central government employees and pensioners.
Its recommendations, once finalised and accepted by the government, are expected to determine the next round of pay revisions for lakhs of serving employees and pensioners. The Commission is currently in the consultation phase and is meeting various stakeholders before drafting its report.
