Sources said the same had been cancelled due to tepid investor demand.
Carlyle was looking at selling 6% of its for ₹1,750 crore in Piramal Pharma via a block deal. CNBC-TV18 had reported regarding the same on Thursday.
At the end of the June quarter, promoter entities held 34.8% stake in Piramal Pharma while 64.72% stake comprised of public shareholding.
Piramal Pharma’s first quarter revenue increased 17.4% to ₹2,269.9 crore from ₹1,933.7 crore in the previous year. Meanwhile, its EBITDA increased 82.9% to ₹195.2 crore from 106.7 crore. Its EBITDA margin expanded to 8.6% from 5.5% in the year-ago period.
Shares of Piramal Pharma were trading 2.8% lower at ₹206.6 apiece at 12.30 pm on Friday. The stock has gained 20.2% in the past month and is up 21.6% this year, so far.
