The stock’s rise marked its second-biggest single-day gain this year, after it surged 14% in one session in February. The company’s shares have risen more than 25% year-to-date and over 13% in the past 12 months.
The rally in LT Foods shares follows a broader rise in rice stocks. Peers including KRBL and AWL Agri Business gained 6.39% and 1.63%, respectively, during intraday trade.
According to the latest shareholding data, promoters held over 51% of the company’s shares, while public shareholders held 29.95%. Domestic institutional investors held 10.84%, and foreign institutional investors held 8.21%.
LT Foods’ revenue for the quarter ended June 2026 rose 11.56% to ₹1,172.08 crore from ₹1,050.56 crore in the year-ago period. Net profit rose 89.67% to ₹70.16 crore from ₹36.99 crore. Total income increased 10.77% to ₹1,176.11 crore from ₹1,061.73 crore over the same period, according to a regulatory filing earlier this month.
The Gurugram-based FMCG company primarily trades rice and exports its products to 85 countries, including the US, UK and West Asia. The company produces its flagship Daawat rice brand and had earlier reported that 9% of its FY25 revenue came from exports to West Asia.
