Godrej Properties will be a key contributor to the planned investment. The real estate company has invested around ₹11,000 crore in Haryana to date and plans to invest a further ₹16,000 crore by FY28, taking its total investment in the state to around ₹27,000 crore.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and builds on the group’s existing presence in the state. Godrej Industries Group said it has invested around ₹12,000 crore in Haryana so far and employs approximately 9,000 people across its businesses.
Godrej Properties currently has 18 projects across Gurugram, Sonipat, Faridabad, Panipat and Kurukshetra. Its upcoming projects are expected to create more than 11,000 jobs, the group said.
Godrej Ventures, the group’s real estate private equity business, has invested around ₹1,000 crore in Haryana and plans to deploy another ₹3,500 crore in Grade A+ office infrastructure in Gurugram. These investments are expected to generate more than 30,000 direct and indirect jobs, according to the company.
The group said the proposed investments will span residential and commercial development, as well as the broader infrastructure and services ecosystem in the state.
“Haryana has emerged as an important growth driver for the Godrej Industries Group,” Pirojsha Godrej, Chairperson of Godrej Industries Group, said. He cited the state’s economic depth, rapid urbanisation and the emergence of Gurugram as a major commercial and employment hub as key factors behind the group’s investment plans.
“We’ve invested significantly in the state over the years and our plans for further investment reflect our confidence in the market and our ability to build on the presence we have established,” Godrej said.
Rakesh Swami, Group Head and President – Corporate Affairs, Godrej Industries Group, said the MoU reflects the group’s confidence in Haryana as a long-term investment destination, citing the state’s investment environment and ease of doing business.
