Man Infraconstruction share price: Board to consider first-ever buyback on September 1


Shares of Man Infraconstruction Ltd. are trading higher on Thursday, August 27, after the company announced that its board will meet next week to consider a proposal to buy back fully paid-up equity shares.

The company informed the stock exchanges that its board of directors will meet on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, to consider and approve the proposed share buyback.

The record date for the proposed buyback has not yet been determined.

The buyback could be undertaken either through the tender offer route or the open market route, the company said.

Based on data available on the BSE, this would be the first time Man Infraconstruction is considering a share buyback.

A share buyback involves a company repurchasing its own shares from shareholders. Depending on the size and structure of the buyback, it can reduce the number of outstanding shares and potentially improve earnings per share for continuing shareholders. Buybacks are also a way for companies to return surplus cash to shareholders.

Man Infraconstruction has previously returned capital to shareholders through dividends and bonus shares, and has also carried out a stock split.Man Infraconstruction shares ended 0.54% lower at ₹113.25 on Wednesday. The stock has declined more than 11% so far in 2026.
