Speculation surrounding Meghan Markle’s potential return to acting with the crime-drama series ‘The Gentlemen’ has intensified after a Netflix executive offered a cryptic response to reports the recent casting buzz.PEOPLE reported last week that Markle, was in discussions to appear in the Guy Ritchie directorial. The speculation came shortly before it was announced that the series had been renewed for a third season. However, no official announcement was made regarding Markle’s involvement.

Netflix boss reacts to Meghan Markle’s casting

During an appearance at the Edinburgh TV Festival on Wednesday, August 26, Manda Levin, Netflix’s scripted chief in the UK, was asked about the reports surrounding Markle’s potential casting. “All bets are off,” she replied.The Gentlemen, which stars Theo James and Kaya Scodelario, is set in England and filmed in the UK. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the potential role for Markle “is currently being written,” so the extent of her alleged involvement in the show is still unknown.

Meghan Markle to return to acting?
