Zydus Wellness up 8%, PVR Inox down 7%: Check out other Nifty 500 top movers


Zydus Wellness, HFCL and Balrampur Chini Mills were among the stocks that moved the Nifty 500 higher at market open on Monday, September 7, while PVR Inox, Zee Entertainment and Manappuram Finance slipped lower.

An internal probe report featured among the day’s triggers, with PVR Inox coming under pressure after a report on a senior executive’s exit, even as HFCL and Zydus Wellness extended gains at the opening bell.

Top gainers at market open

Zydus Wellness shares rose up to 9% at market open. The company’s shares had risen almost 25% since the beginning of the year and almost 21% in the past year. The stock was at a 5.5% decline from its 52-week high of ₹611.85. Over 30 lakh shares of the company were traded on the stock market at 10.71 times the stock’s 10-day average.

HFCL shares rose 5% at market open. The company’s shares had risen more than 252% since the beginning of the year and more than 242% in the past year. The stock was at a 5.6% decline from its 52-week high of ₹256.70. Over 32 lakh shares of the company were traded at 0.22 times the stock’s 10-day average.

Balrampur Chini Mills shares rose up to 3.5% at market open. The company’s shares had risen almost 63% since the beginning of the year and more than 33% in the past year. The stock was at a 9.4% decline from its 52-week high of ₹780.95. Over 20 lakh shares of the company were traded at 0.24 times the stock’s 10-day average.

Top losers at market open

PVR Inox shares fell up to 7% at market open after a report by The Economic Times said the company had asked senior executive Pramod Arora to leave in April, following an internal probe into alleged kickbacks worth ₹200 crore from developers involved in cinema projects. The company’s shares had risen over 14% since the beginning of the year and almost 4% in the past year. The stock was at an 11.1% decline from its 52-week high of ₹1,284.50. Over 9 lakh shares of the company were traded at 1.5 times the stock’s 10-day average.

Zee Entertainment shares fell up to 5% at market open. The company’s shares had fallen more than 2% since the beginning of the year and almost 24% in the past year. The stock was at a 38% decline from its 52-week high of ₹121.80 and 29.7% away from hitting its 52-week low of ₹68. Over 1 crore shares of the company were traded at 0.4 times the stock’s 10-day average.Manappuram Finance shares fell over 3.5% at market open. The company’s shares had risen over 4% since the beginning of the year and almost 12% in the past year. The stock was at a 16.7% decline from its 52-week high of ₹381.55 and 33.2% away from hitting its 52-week low of ₹245.15. Over 21 lakh shares of the company were traded at 0.43 times the stock’s 10-day average.
