The scope of the contract includes end-to-end operations and maintenance of the coal-based thermal power plant located at Singhitarai village in Sakti district, Chhattisgarh.
The contract has a basic value of ₹890 crore, along with a provision of ₹80 crore for additional services. The total contract value excludes GST, the exchange filing stated.
Power Mech Projects will execute the contract over a period of 60 months from the date of issuance of the Letter of Intent (LOI) or order confirmation.
The order has been awarded by Vedanta Power, a domestic entity. Power Mech Projects said the contract does not involve any interest of its promoter, promoter group or group companies in the awarding entity and does not fall under related-party transactions.
Final Dividend
Separately, Power Mech Projects has fixed September 10, 2026, as the record date for determining shareholders eligible for the final dividend of ₹1.50 per share for FY26.
The company had earlier recommended the final dividend at its May 20, 2026 Board meeting, subject to shareholders’ approval at the 27th Annual General Meeting, scheduled for September 17, 2026.
If approved at the AGM, the final dividend will be paid or dispatched within 30 days from the date of shareholder approval.
Shares of the company jumped as much as 2.8% to ₹2,482.40 on Wednesday, hitting the day’s high on the NSE at around 11:45 am. The stock has declined nearly 6% over the past month, while it has gained 8.03% so far this year.
