Suraj Estate Developers’ subsidiary acquired development rights for a 2,941-sq-m plot in Mahim (West), Mumbai, for ₹82.72 crore.

The company said the development agreement for the plot, which is contiguous to its ongoing commercial project Suraj One Business Bay, has been registered and the acquisition has been completed with a total investment of ₹82.72 crore.
Following amalgamation with the existing commercial development, the plot is expected to add around 1.50 lakh square feet of saleable carpet area, with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of about ₹800 crore, according to the company’s exchange filing dated September 25.
Suraj Estate said the acquisition is expected to strengthen its near-to-medium-term project pipeline and consolidate its presence in South-Central Mumbai.
The ₹800-crore GDV is an estimate disclosed by the company and represents the potential value of the additional development; it is not reported revenue or profit from the acquisition.
