The announcement comes days after Union Home Minister Amit Shah said India would roll out a nationwide “Smart Border” project to secure nearly 6,000 kilometres of its borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh using advanced surveillance technologies.
Zen Technologies said the Integrated Smart Border Suite has been developed to address threats such as illegal infiltration, narco-terrorism, drone-based smuggling and hybrid warfare tactics along India’s western and eastern borders.

The company described the platform as a 24×7 intelligent digital shield capable of enabling faster detection, tracking and neutralisation of hostile activity across difficult terrain and high-risk sectors.
The suite includes AI-powered anti-drone systems, smart loitering munitions, interceptor drones, unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), remote-controlled weapon stations and electro-optical thermal surveillance systems. According to the company, the systems are designed for surveillance, reconnaissance, target acquisition and precision-response operations in contested environments.
Commenting on the launch, Chairman and Managing Director Ashok Atluri said, “India’s border security architecture is undergoing a fundamental transformation, from static, manpower-intensive deployments to intelligent, autonomous and technology-driven protection systems capable of responding to dynamic and asymmetric threats in real time.”
He added that indigenous defence technologies built on Indian intellectual property would play a key role in strengthening national security and operational readiness as India modernises its border infrastructure.
Zen Technologies has shipped more than 10,000 defence training and anti-drone systems globally and has filed over 200 patents. The company develops defence training and anti-drone solutions for armed forces and security agencies from its Hyderabad-based manufacturing and R&D facilities.
