Aamir Khan was spotted at the airport with his wife Gauri Spratt and her young son, and it was the little boy who ended up stealing attention as he looked visibly confused by the swarm of paparazzi waiting to photograph the couple.

Aamir Khan kept it simple in a white striped kurta paired with matching trousers and black-framed glasses, while Gauri wore a light green outfit. Gauri’s son curiously looked around at the photographers clicking away before hurriedly running behind his mother to hold her hand.

Earlier this month, Aamir and Gauri got married in an intimate ceremony at the actor’s Bandra residence, attended by close family and friends, after dating for over two years.However, according to ANI, days after the wedding, Maulana Ibrahim Hussain, the Shahi Chief Mufti of the Muslim Personal Darul Ifta, issued a fatwa against Aamir Khan over the marriage, stating it does not comply with Sharia since Gauri is not Muslim. In a video circulating online, the cleric said, “Muslim mard ke liye, iman walon ke liye, gair Muslim se shaadi karna haraam hai.” He added that a Muslim man marrying a non-Muslim woman commits a sin and that those who don’t accept this would be answerable to Allah.Responding to the controversy, Aamir clarified that Gauri is not Hindu, as many had assumed, and reiterated that religion has never been a condition in his marriages.

This is Aamir’s third marriage. He was first married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares children Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005, and the two share son Azad Rao Khan before announcing their separation in 2021 while continuing to co-parent him. Gauri was previously married and has a son from that marriage.
