Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt are now officially married after exchanging vows in an intimate ceremony held at the actor’s residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The couple chose to celebrate the occasion with only their closest family members and friends, keeping the event away from the grandeur usually associated with celebrity weddings. The first photographs from the ceremony have now surfaced online.
Family members join the special occasion
The wedding brought together members of both families for the joyous celebration. Aamir’s children, Junaid Khan, Ira Khan, and Azad Rao Khan, were present to witness the ceremony as reported by SCREEN. Gauri Spratt’s son also attended the wedding, making it a special gathering for the couple’s blended family. The intimate setting reflected the importance the couple placed on celebrating the occasion with their loved ones rather than hosting a large public event. Reports suggest that around 150 guests attended the ceremony, with some close friends and relatives travelling from overseas to be part of the celebrations.
Celebrities arrive for the private wedding
Several well-known personalities from different fields were seen arriving at Aamir Khan’s residence to bless the newlyweds. According to Indian Express reports, filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, who directed Aamir in the acclaimed film Lagaan, attended the ceremony along with his wife. Also spotted at the wedding were actress Elli AvrRam, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan, politician Raj Thackeray, comedian-actor Vir Das, and celebrated lyricist Prasoon Joshi.
Private lunch followed the wedding ceremony
Following the marriage ceremony, Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt reportedly hosted a private lunch for their invited guests. The meal was said to feature several dishes that hold personal significance for the couple, making the celebration even more meaningful. Rather than organising a lavish reception, the newlyweds opted for a simple gathering where they could spend quality time with their guests.Although Aamir Khan introduced Gauri Spratt to the public during his 60th birthday celebrations in March 2025, the two had reportedly known each other for nearly 25 years before beginning their relationship. After dating for more than two years, they decided to take the next step by getting married.Aamir was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares children Junaid and Ira, before the couple separated in 2002. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005, and they welcomed Azad Rao Khan through surrogacy before announcing their separation in 2021. With his marriage to Gauri Spratt, Aamir has now embarked on a new phase in his personal life.
