ACE said the order is part of its efforts to expand its defence business and is aligned with the government’s Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.

ACE’s work with the Ministry of Defence

The latest order follows ACE’s earlier business with the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

In February 2025, the MoD signed contracts worth ₹697.35 crore with ACE and JCB India for the procurement of 1,868 Rough Terrain Fork Lift Trucks (RTFLTs).

The trucks were intended for the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy and were to be manufactured under the Buy (Indian) category. The procurement was aimed at supporting defence logistics while increasing the use of equipment manufactured in India.
