Under the partnership, Maharaja Club members will earn 2 Maharaja Points for every $1 spent at most IHG properties. Stays at Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, IHG Residences and IHG Army Hotels will earn 1 Maharaja Point per $1 spent.
IHG One Rewards members can convert their points into Maharaja Points at a ratio of 1,000 IHG One Rewards Points for 200 Maharaja Points. The minimum conversion is 1,000 IHG One Rewards Points.
The tie-up connects Air India’s loyalty programme with IHG’s portfolio of more than 7,100 hotels across over 100 countries. For Maharaja Club members, the arrangement adds hotel stays as another avenue to earn airline loyalty points, while IHG members get an additional option to use their accumulated points.
3x Maharaja Points offer
As part of the launch, Maharaja Club members can earn three times the usual Maharaja Points on qualifying IHG stays between September 15 and December 31, 2026. Members will need to register for the promotion to qualify.
The offer is subject to the programme’s qualifying-stay terms.
IHG currently operates 53 hotels across seven brands in India and has a pipeline of 110 hotels planned to open over the next three to five years, according to the companies.Air India said Maharaja Club had added more than 100 partners between FY2023 and FY2026. Members completed more than 4.2 million transactions across partner brands during FY2026, spanning travel, hospitality, lifestyle and everyday spending categories.
For travellers who use both programmes, the partnership effectively links hotel spending with Air India’s loyalty programme, giving them another route to accumulate points for future travel.
