AMFI re-elects Sundeep Sikka as chairman, Vishal Kapoor as vice chairman
The Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) has re-elected Sundeep Sikka, Managing Director and CEO of Nippon Life India Asset Management, as its chairman and Vishal Kapoor, CEO of Bandhan AMC, as vice chairman.

The decision was taken unanimously by AMFI’s Board of Directors following the industry body’s Annual General Meeting, according to a statement issued by AMFI.

Sikka and Kapoor will continue in their respective roles as the mutual fund industry’s representative body works on issues related to the development of the sector and investor interests.

AMFI is the industry body representing asset management companies (AMCs) registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

The organisation works on developing the mutual fund industry and maintaining professional, ethical and operational standards across the sector, with a focus on investor interests.
