NEW DELHI: Home minister Amit Shah will attend the ‘national security strategies conference’ (NSSC) here on Monday and Tuesday, brainstorming with the Central and states’ security brass on the entire gamut of security challenges and fine-tuning strategies to overcome them.The ninth NSSC will be held in hybrid format, with over 850 officers from various security forces, agencies and state police forces participating via physical and virtual modes.The officers will be deliberating on various contemporary matters and challenges including terrorism, cybercrimes, financial frauds, narcotics menace, challenges posed by encrypted communication apps, infiltration and illegal immigration etc.

It will also discuss aviation and port security, as also bringing back fugitives involved in terrorist and smuggling activities with enhanced coordination between Central and state agencies.During the DGP/IGP conference in 2016. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had directed the security and police heads to hold the NSSC every year, with the objective of finding solutions to major national security challenges, using the extensive experience of the cutting-edge level officers working at the grassroot level, in collaboration with domain experts.
