The order comprises AVTR 3120 haulage trucks, BOSS 1615 trucks and Oyster staff buses, stated the exchange filing.
The commercial vehicle maker said deliveries are already underway, with 300 vehicles delivered so far, while the remaining 415 units are scheduled to be supplied during the current year.
The company said the latest order underscores its position as a key mobility partner for the logistics sector and builds on a relationship spanning several decades.
The vehicles are equipped with advanced technologies aimed at improving operational efficiency, reducing maintenance-related downtime and enhancing fleet productivity.
“We have absolute confidence in the quality, reliability and performance of Ashok Leyland trucks. Their strong after-sales support enables uninterrupted operations, while the rapidly expanding service network gives us a clear operational advantage,” VRL Logistics Managing Director Dr. Anand Sankeshwar said in the filing.
He added that the fresh order marks a strategic expansion of the partnership to drive higher logistics efficiency.
According to the filing, the new fleet is expected to help VRL Logistics improve vehicle uptime, optimise operations and enhance profitability through greater efficiency and reliability.
Shares of Ashok Leyland ended higher by 3.8% at ₹164 on the NSE.
