The fourth day of the Asian Games 2026 saw India’s women’s team bring the contingent’s first gold of the ongoing edition after beating Sri Lanka in the final by 147 runs. With this, Harmanpreet Kaur’s team successfully defended their crown and cemented their place as the best Asian side at the moment. Overall, the campaign was a mixed bag for the Indian contingent, with shuttlers – including PV Sindhu – and shooters putting up a disappointing show.

After winning two silver medals on Day 2, Elavenil Valarivan was unable to add to her tally on Tuesday, as she and Parth Mane finished fourth in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team qualification.
