AU Small Finance Bank, Zaggle launch co-branded credit card: A look at key features

AU Small Finance Bank (AU SFB) has partnered with Zaggle Prepaid Ocean Services to launch a co-branded retail credit card that offers rewards on UPI, contactless and e-commerce transactions, as lenders and fintech firms continue to expand their credit card offerings through partnerships.

The AU Zaggle Co-Branded Retail Credit Card will be available on both Visa and RuPay payment networks, allowing customers to choose their preferred network. The card will be distributed through the zagg.money app, the company’s website and assisted channels.

Under the offering, customers using the Visa variant can earn up to 8% Zagg Coins on eligible contactless transactions, while the RuPay variant offers up to 8% Zagg Coins on eligible UPI payments made through the zagg.money app. The card also provides up to 4% Zagg Coins on eligible e-commerce spends and a 1% fuel surcharge waiver on fuel purchases.

The accumulated Zagg Coins can be converted into cashback through the zagg.money app, with the cashback credited to the customer’s credit card account.

The card also includes optional value passes that allow users to activate additional benefits across categories such as groceries, dining, utility bill payments, entertainment and travel. Other features include airport lounge access, vouchers and spend-based rewards, depending on the selected benefits.

According to the companies, the partnership combines AU Small Finance Bank’s credit card platform and risk management capabilities with Zaggle’s rewards and spend management ecosystem. Zaggle also plans to offer the card to employees across its corporate client network.

The launch adds to the growing trend of co-branded credit cards in India, where banks are partnering with fintech and consumer-facing platforms to offer category-specific rewards and strengthen customer engagement.
