Marvel Studios is gearing up for the theatrical re-release of its biggest blockbuster – ‘Avengers: Endgame’.Five years after first debuting on the big screens, the film is all set for its return to cinemas as ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’. With just a month to go before its big-screen return, the team rolled out Premium Infinity Vision tickets, which went on sale on Sunday at 9 a.m. ET.According to reports circulating online, the special ‘Encore’ edition will feature additional scenes, not included in the original 2019 release. These are said to include a brand-new introduction from director duo Joe and Anthony Russo, previously unseen footage and a new end sequence which will connect the film directly to ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, the next instalment in the MCU, which is scheduled to hit theatres on December 18, 2026.

‘Avengers: Endgame’ gets longer runtime

If the reports are accurate, ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ will run approximately 3 hours and 8 minutes, with the inclusion of 7 minutes of new footage, thus extending the film’s record as the longest ‘Avengers’ film. This new footage is rumoured to bridge the gap between the events of Endgame and the upcoming Doomsday.Meanwhile, advance cinema listings for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ have reportedly revealed a preliminary runtime of 165 minutes (2 hours, 45 minutes), giving it the second-longest runtime.

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ official synopsis

The listings also include a synopsis that reads, “Universes collide & the Multiverse Saga begins its final chapter … Beloved heroes from 3 distinct universes will be set on a deadly collision course & ultimately face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered. This epic film will lay the foundation for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ trailer release

The early premium ticket sale raises eyebrows, the makers have yet to release the official trailer for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. As per online buzz, the trailer will release online immediately after its debut at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25.‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is expected to mark the beginning of the Multiverse Saga’s final chapter, with its story concluding in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’. The films will release a year apart with ‘Doomsday’ slated for a December 2026 release and ‘Secret Wars’ slated for a December 2027 release.
