Baazar Style Retail shares end in a 5% upper circuit after strong Q1 business update


Shares of Baazar Style Retail gained 5% on Thursday, July 2, after the value fashion retailer reported a 29% year-on-year increase in standalone revenue from operations for the June quarter to ₹486 crore from ₹377.8 crore in the year-ago period.

According to its quarterly business update, same-store sales growth (SSSG) stood at 7% during the quarter, while sales per square foot increased to ₹679 in Q1FY27 per month from ₹663 a year earlier.

The retailer’s store network expanded to 276 outlets as of June 30, compared with 232 stores a year earlier. During the quarter, the company opened 18 new stores and closed five, taking the net addition to 13 stores.

Total rental area increased 22% year-on-year to 25.8 lakh square feet from 21.17 lakh square feet in the corresponding period last year.

The company said the revenue figures for the June quarter are subject to a limited review by its statutory auditors.

Shares of the company ended in an upper circuit of 5% following the Q1 business update, at ₹307.80 on Thursday. The stock has gained 14% so far in 2026.
