Bajaj Healthcare Q1 profit rises 14%, returns to profit after March quarter loss


Bajaj Healthcare Ltd reported a 14.1% year-on-year increase in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) from continuing operations to ₹13.9 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with ₹12.2 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue from operations rose 11.3% to ₹165.6 crore from ₹148.8 crore a year earlier.

The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 17.3% year-on-year to ₹28.8 crore from ₹24.5 crore, while EBITDA margin expanded to 17.4% from 16.5%, indicating an improvement in operating profitability.

On a sequential basis, profit after tax from continuing operations stood at ₹13.9 crore, compared with a loss of ₹19.4 crore in the March quarter. The preceding quarter included an exceptional expense of ₹33.2 crore related to the reversal of income recognised in an earlier year. Revenue from operations increased 8.2% from ₹153.1 crore in the March quarter to ₹165.6 crore.

Profit before tax came in at ₹16.5 crore, compared with a loss before tax of ₹20.8 crore in the previous quarter. The March quarter included an exceptional expense of ₹33.2 crore, primarily due to the reversal of income recognised in an earlier period under a technical know-how arrangement after delays linked to geopolitical instability in the West Asia.

Bajaj Healthcare operates in the pharmaceuticals segment, manufacturing active pharmaceutical ingredients, formulations and nutraceutical products. Shares of the company closed at ₹391, up 4.56% from the previous close, on the National Stock Exchange.
