Bandhan Life launches new ULIP with Multi Cap Fund; NFO open till September 21


Bandhan Life Insurance, the life insurance arm of Bandhan Group, has launched a new unit-linked insurance plan (ULIP), Bandhan Life iInvest Ultima Plus, along with a new Multi Cap Fund.

The New Fund Offer (NFO) for the Multi Cap Fund opened at an initial net asset value (NAV) of ₹10 per unit and will remain open for subscription until September 21, 2026.

The ULIP combines life insurance with market-linked investments. Under the plan, policyholders will receive loyalty additions from the end of the 10th policy year, subject to the policy terms.

From the end of the 15th policy year, the plan provides for an amount equivalent to 2.5 times the premium allocation charges deducted earlier, along with a refund of mortality charges paid for life cover, according to Bandhan Life.

The policy also offers a 0.5% lower premium allocation charge for women customers. Policyholders can additionally opt for the Linked Enhanced Accidental Death Benefit Rider for additional accidental death cover.

On the investment side, customers can select from different fund strategies, including lifecycle-based options that automatically alter the allocation between funds based on the policyholder’s life stage.

The new Bandhan Life Multi Cap Fund will invest across large-cap, mid-cap and small-cap stocks. It will be benchmarked against the Nifty 500 Index.

According to the company’s stated investment mandate, 80-100% of the fund will be invested in equity and equity-related instruments, while up to 20% can be allocated to cash, cash equivalents and money market instruments.Satishwar B., MD and CEO of Bandhan Life Insurance, said the new product is aimed at offering customers flexibility in combining insurance protection with long-term investments.

Maneesh Mishra, Chief Product and Marketing Officer at Bandhan Life Insurance, said the product offers customers access to the company’s existing funds as well as the newly launched Multi Cap Fund.

The Multi Cap Fund will be available through Bandhan Life iInvest Ultima Plus and Bandhan Life iInvest II at Bandhan Bank branches. It will also be available through Bandhan Life iInvest Advantage on the company’s website.
