Leading basmati rice producer and owner of the India Gate brand, KRBL Ltd, on Thursday (August 13) reported a 73.16% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹260.74 crore for Q1, compared with ₹150.58 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Revenue declined 5.6% year-on-year to ₹1,496 crore from ₹1,585 crore in Q1 of the previous year.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 59.7% to ₹307.58 crore from ₹192.65 crore a year ago. The EBITDA margin stood at 20.56%, compared with 12.16% in the year-ago quarter.
Shares of KRBL Ltd ended at ₹372.50, down by ₹1.80, or 0.48%, on the BSE.
