However, the actor says that the conversation around women’s bodies remains deeply problematic, particularly when it comes to how quickly they are expected to regain their pre-pregnancy figures. Bipasha opened up about body standards, social media scrutiny and the trolling she faced after becoming a mother.Bipasha, who welcomed her daughter Devi with husband Karan Singh Grover on November 12, 2022, spoke about the unrealistic pressure women face to “bounce back” after childbirth. Reflecting on how society judges women based on their appearance, she said, “The conversation around women’s bodies is quite bizarre even now. Magically, when you give birth, you are supposed to get back into the shape of your twenties even when you are in your forties. What’s expected of a 20-year-old is expected of a 40-year-old. And if you’re not bouncing back, they’re going to troll you. They’re going to be massively brutal,” she said in an interview with Elle India.The actor also recalled being subjected to harsh online criticism and paparazzi scrutiny following the birth of her daughter. Bipasha revealed that some photographs of her became a source of trolling, without people considering what a new mother may actually be dealing with behind the scenes.She said, “I went through major, major trolling. A few insensitive paps took really bizarre pictures of me. They don’t see how much effort the woman must be putting in, how much they have to do with a baby, with their life, with their lifestyle and also their personal pressures. Nobody really cares. Everybody expects you to bounce back. I’m an extremely confident person, so no kind of trolling can break me. I know what my journey is, I know what work I need to put in, when I need to put it in, and I will go with that. Outside noise does not really matter.”Despite the scrutiny, Bipasha has continued to embrace motherhood and frequently gives fans glimpses of her life with her daughter on social media. Her posts often feature candid and heartwarming moments shared with Devi.Bipasha and Karan Singh Grover’s relationship began after they met while working on the 2015 horror film Alone. Their professional association eventually turned into romance, and the couple dated for around a year before getting married in April 2016.
