BOI, BoB CEOs get 3-year extension; Indian Bank ED term extended


The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a three-year extension in the tenure of the managing directors and CEOs of Bank of India and Bank of Baroda, according to an official order dated April 22.

Rajneesh Karnatak will continue as Managing Director and CEO of Bank of India for a period of three years beyond August 28, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Similarly, Debadatta Chand has been granted a three-year extension as Managing Director and CEO of Bank of Baroda beyond June 30, 2026, or until further orders.

In a related move, the ACC has also approved the extension of Ashutosh Choudhury as Executive Director at Indian Bank for a period of three years beyond May 2, 2026, or until further orders.

The approvals were cleared following proposals from the Department of Financial Services under the Ministry of Finance.
