Brigade Enterprises enters Coimbatore with ₹600 crore residential project

Brigade Enterprises Q1 profit jumps 34% on higher realisations, stronger mall sales


Realty firm Brigade Enterprises Ltd on Monday (August 31) announced its entry into Coimbatore with plans to develop a residential project spread across 5.4 acres in Saravanampatti.

“We would like to inform you that Brigade Group has announced its entry into Coimbatore with plans to launch a residential development spread across a land area of 5.4 acres in Saravanampatti, through a Joint Development
with the land owner. The estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) is approximately Rs 600 crores,” according to a stock exchange filing

The project is being undertaken through a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with the landowner and has an estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of approximately ₹600 crore.

The project is located in Coimbatore’s IT belt and is positioned to benefit from access to key growth corridors, major Special Economic Zones (SEZs), IT parks and social infrastructure.

The surrounding social infrastructure includes educational institutions, retail malls and hospitals. Brigade Enterprises said the Coimbatore project further strengthens its residential portfolio in South India.

In August this year, Pavitra Shankar, MD of Brigade Enterprises, said the company remains confident of achieving its ₹9,000 crore 2026-27 (FY27) pre-sales target, despite a muted first quarter and delays in project approvals.

The company expects a stronger launch pipeline from the July-September quarter of 2026 (Q2FY27) onwards, with around 1.5 million square feet of launches that were deferred from the last quarter expected to come through during the rest of the year.

Brigade continues to target 12 million square feet of launches and a gross development value of around ₹11,900 crore for FY27. While regulatory delays remain a concern, the pending approvals are likely to be resolved and the deferred launches to be brought into the current financial year.

Brigade Group has been present in Tamil Nadu for over a decade, building a strong presence across residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality sectors.

Key completed developments such as the World Trade Center Chennai, Brigade Residences at World Trade Center Chennai, Brigade Xanadu, Brigade Vantage, and Holiday Inn Chennai OMR IT Expressway have helped establish Brigade as a trusted brand in the state.

Brigade Group has cumulatively about 16 million square feet of projects in the pipeline in Chennai.

Shares of Brigade Enterprises Ltd ended at ₹655.90, up by ₹12.80, or 1.99%, on the BSE.
