CIE Automotive India Q3 profit rises 14% to ₹244 crore as revenue grows 11%

CIE Automotive India, a subsidiary of Spain’s CIE Automotive group, reported an 11% year-on-year increase in revenue to ₹2,633 crore for the September quarter, compared with ₹2,372 crore in the year-ago period.

Net profit rose 14% to ₹244 crore from ₹214 crore a year earlier.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 5.1% year-on-year to ₹374 crore from ₹356 crore. However, the EBITDA margin contracted to 14.2% from 15% a year earlier.

The automotive components supplier said its consolidated performance was supported by growth in its Indian business and a recovery in European margins.

Sales in India grew 18% year-on-year. However, margins came under pressure from price increases linked to the conflict in West Asia, particularly in raw materials, energy and consumables.

In Europe, sales remained under pressure amid a stagnant market, but margins improved significantly from the year-ago period, supported by restructuring measures undertaken last year, the company said.

CIE Automotive India’s nine-month performance

For the first nine months of calendar year 2026, consolidated sales rose 12% year-on-year to ₹7,642.7 crore from ₹6,796.5 crore.

NCLT approves application for subsidiary merger

The tribunal passed the order on September 24, 2026, allowing the application subject to the directions set out in the order.

The company’s board had approved the merger scheme on April 23, 2026. The proposed merger involves the absorption of CIE Aluminium Casting India into CIE Automotive India under Sections 230 to 232 of the Companies Act, 2013.
