In an exchange filing, Colgate-Palmolive India stated that Narasimhan will quit as MD & CEO effective September 27, 2026 and will transition to the role of an Executive Vice President – Marketing, Asia Pacific division of Colgate-Palmolive.
Manish Anandani, who had earlier worked at Colgate-Palmolive for over a decade, will be the new MD & CEO for a five-year period, succeeding Prabha Narasimhan. The appointment will be subject to approval from the company’s shareholders.
Narasimhan had assumed charge as the MD & CEO of the personal and oral care brand back on September 1, 2022. During her tenure, shares of Colgate-Palmolive India have gained 14% during the last four years, having corrected significantly from their record high levels of ₹3,893, which they had surged to in October 2024.
The stock is down 51% from those record high levels.
Who Is Manish Anandani?
Manish Anandani will be joining as MD & CEO of Colgate-Palmolive India from Kenvue, the erstehile Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health business, where he was the Managing Director for India and South Asia.
Anandani had previously worked for Colgate-Palmolive from 2005 as a regional manager and after playing multiple roles across India and Indochina region, he quit in 2018 as World-Wide Director in the Global Customer Development function.The new MD & CEO of Colgate-Palmolive India has a degree in electronics and an MBD in Marketing. He also has an Executive MBA (Leadership) from the Turk School of Business, USA.
Shares of Colgate-Palmolive India are trading 0.75% lower in early trade on Friday at ₹1,895.7. The stock is down 10% so far this year.
