NEW DELHI: The 12-year-old daughter of NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar‘s personal assistant was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Maharashtra’s Baramati on Sunday, police told news agency PTI.The girl was found near her residence in the Sainagar area of Rui village in Baramati tehsil, officials said. Police have launched an investigation and are examining the circumstances surrounding her death from all angles.The deceased was the daughter of Pawar’s personal assistant, Ajit Dashavatare, police told PTI.

According to sources quoted by PTI, the girl had a minor argument with her mother over an issue before leaving home in anger on Saturday. When she did not return, her family approached the police and lodged a complaint.Police were alerted after the family reported her missing and subsequently found her body near the residence on Sunday morning.A police team reached the spot after being informed and sent the body to Baramati Government Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination.“The police have launched an investigation into the case and are examining all possible angles,” a senior official told PTI.Police said the probe was underway and that the circumstances leading to the girl’s death were being examined.
