Dividend Stock Alert: City gas distribution company Mahanagar Gas has announced a final dividend of Rs 18 (180 per cent) per equity share for the financial year ended March 31, 2026. The dividend will be paid within 30 days from the date of AGM, to shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members as of the record date.
“Recommended a Final Dividend of Rs. 18/- per equity share having face value of Rs. 10/- each for the financial year 2025-26, subject to approval of shareholders of the Company. This is in addition to the Interim Dividend of Rs.12/- per equity share, as declared by the Board of Directors at its meeting held on February 07, 2026. Accordingly, the total dividend for the financial year 2025-26 will be Rs. 30/- per equity share having face value of Rs.10/-each,” Mahanagar Gas said in an exchange filing dated May 7, 2026.
The dividend has been recommended from the company’s profits for the financial year 2025-26. August 18, 2026, has been fixed as the record date to determine shareholders’ eligibility for the dividend.
“In view of the above and pursuant to Regulation 42 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the Company has fixed Tuesday, August 18, 2026 as the ‘Record Date’ for determining entitlement of shareholders for payment of final Dividend for the financial year 2025-26. The Final Dividend, if approved by shareholders at the ensuing AGM, will be paid subject to the deduction of tax at source at applicable rates, within 30 days from the date of AGM, to those Members / Beneficial Owners, whose names appears in Register of Members of the Company /Register of Beneficial Owners maintained by the Depositories, on closure of business hours as on Record Date,” the company said.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

The stock reached its 52 week high level on September 17, 2025 at Rs 1,377.05 per share; while 52 week low level came in at Rs 902 per share on March 23, 2026.
