Divi’s Laboratories reported a strong performance for the first quarter of FY27, with consolidated net profit rising 65.6% year-on-year to ₹902 crore, compared with ₹545 crore in the year-ago period.

The company’s revenue from operations increased 27.8% year-on-year to ₹3,080 crore in Q1 FY27, up from ₹2,410 crore in the same quarter last year.

The pharmaceutical major’s performance also beat CNBC-TV18’s estimates. Net profit was higher than the poll expectation of ₹657 crore, while revenue exceeded the estimated ₹2,911 crore.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) jumped 72.2% year-on-year to ₹1,255 crore from ₹729 crore a year ago. The EBITDA figure was significantly ahead of the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹915 crore.

The company’s EBITDA margin expanded to 40.8% in Q1 FY27 from 30.2% in the corresponding quarter last year. The margin also surpassed the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of 31.4%.

The improvement in profitability was led by strong revenue growth and operating performance, with EBITDA margin expansion reflecting better earnings conversion during the quarter.
