Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) turned net buyers in Indian equities on Friday, ending their brief selling streak, according to provisional exchange data.
FIIs bought equities worth ₹12,941.31 crore and sold shares worth ₹12,461.07 crore, resulting in a net inflow of ₹480.24 crore during the session.
Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) also remained net buyers, with a net investment of ₹235.56 crore. DIIs purchased equities worth ₹15,679.58 crore and sold shares worth ₹15,444.02 crore.
The latest fund flow data comes a day after FIIs were marginal net sellers, offloading equities worth ₹17.86 crore on Thursday. DIIs, meanwhile, had infused ₹4,013.60 crore into Indian equities in the previous session.
The combined institutional activity comes as benchmark indices ended largely lower on Friday.
