The hospital will be developed at Dion Riverside Township in Trishulia, Cuttack, and is expected to emerge as a tertiary care hub for patients across Odisha and neighbouring regions once operational.
The project is strategically located along the Cuttack-Bhubaneswar corridor and is planned as a Centre of Excellence across multiple specialties. The facility will offer tertiary and quaternary care services, backed by advanced diagnostics, critical care infrastructure and specialised clinical programmes, the company said in its filing.
The agreement marks Fortis Healthcare’s first major presence in Odisha and forms part of the hospital chain’s broader expansion strategy focused on increasing access to quality healthcare through brownfield expansion, operating and management agreements, and other asset-light growth models, according to the exchange filing.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Dr Ashutosh Raghuvanshi said the collaboration would strengthen access to advanced tertiary care services for patients across Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and neighbouring regions, while reinforcing Fortis’ commitment to expanding high-quality healthcare infrastructure across India.
Dion Group, one of Odisha’s real estate and infrastructure developers, said the partnership aligns with its plans to expand into healthcare infrastructure and address the growing demand for advanced medical services in the state.
The proposed hospital is expected to enhance access to specialised treatment, reduce the need for patients to travel outside Odisha for complex medical care, and support the development of advanced clinical services and healthcare talent in the region, the filing added.
Shares of Fortis Healthcare ended at ₹975.50, marginally up 0.06%, on Friday.
