GE Shipping Buyback: The Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited has announced that its Board of Directors will meet on August 27, 2026 to consider a proposal for the buyback of fully paid-up equity shares of the company.

The company disclosed the development in a regulatory filing dated August 24, 2026 to the BSE.
According to the filing, the board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2026. The proposal will be considered in accordance with the SEBI (Buy-Back of Securities) Regulations, 2018, as amended.
The company said, “The Board of Directors of the Company at their meeting scheduled on Thursday, August 27, 2026 shall consider a proposal to buyback the fully paid-up equity shares of the Company.”
The filing did not disclose the proposed buyback size, number of shares, buyback price or the total amount that may be spent on the proposed repurchase.

Trading window to remain closed
The company also announced the closure of its trading window in connection with the board meeting.
As per the filing, the trading window for transacting in the company’s securities will remain closed from August 25, 2026, to August 29, 2026.
The closure has been announced pursuant to the company’s Code of Conduct for Prohibition of Insider Trading.
Buyback decision to be communicated after board meeting
The company said the outcome of the board meeting will be communicated to the stock exchanges soon after the conclusion of the meeting on August 27, 2026, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the SEBI Listing Regulations.
The proposed buyback will therefore be subject to the decision taken by the board at its scheduled meeting.
