This is the stock’s biggest single-day gain since June 22, 2026, when it had risen 11.67%.
In an exchange filing, the company said the order includes “construction of an important bridge 544 with dimensions of 32×65.84 m, open web steel girder over the Mahanadi at Ch. 406305m in connection with the construction of 3rd and 4th lines between the Nergundi-Barang section in Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway.”
The company said that the size of the contract amounted to ₹483.7 crore, including GST (₹410 Crore plus GST).
Last week, the company informed the exchanges that its wholly-owned subsidiary Alcon Builders and Engineers Pvt Ltd had been declared L1 in an order worth 97.31 crore from the office of the general manager Northeast Frontier Railway, Maligaon, Guwahati.
The work included provision of electronic interlocking at ADF (Adina), AZR (Azamnagar Road), KWE (Khurial), MXJ (Mangurjan), TMH (Tinmilehat), CAT (Chatterhat), SUD (Sudhani), TETA (Telta), PJP (Panjipara), and GIL (Gaisal) stations on HDN/HUN route of Katihar Division, the company had said.
At the end of the June quarter, promoter entities held 69.36% stake in GPT Infraprojects, while public shareholders comprised 30.63%, as per data available on the stock exchanges.

Shares of GPT Infraprojects gained 10.6% to hit an intraday high of ₹119.13 apiece on Wednesday after snapped their five-day losing streak. The stock has closed in the green for two out of the last 10 trading sessions. In the past month, it has declined 2.2%, but it has risen 1.9% this year, so far.
