NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged citizens to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and hoist the Tricolour at their homes as the country prepares to celebrate Independence Day on August 15.In a post on Instagram, Modi said, “Come, let us make Har Ghar Tiranga a celebration in every home.” He called upon people to celebrate August 15 with pride and honour and pay tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence.

The Prime Minister also urged citizens to take a pledge to contribute towards building a ‘Viksit Bharat’. “Let us celebrate August 15 with pride and honour, pay tribute to the freedom fighters, and take a pledge to build a Viksit Bharat,” Modi said.Calling for the Tricolour to be displayed across the country, he added, “Har Ghar Tiranga, Ghar-Ghar Tiranga, Har Mann Tiranga. Let us hoist the Tricolour at every home!”The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative aims to encourage greater public participation and strengthen people’s connection with the national flag.
NDA leaders wave Tricolour at Parliament Annexe
Meanwhile, NDA leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, waved the Tricolour amid chants of “Vande Mataram” during a ‘Mangal Milan’ event at the Parliament Annexe.The event came ahead of Independence Day celebrations, with leaders joining in the patriotic observances and raising the national flag.
