Lindsay Clancy mistrial leaves case unresolved
Clancy’s trial ended in a mistrial on September 4 after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict. The 12-member jury had deliberated for about seven days and more than 38 hours before the judge ended the case. Reports said the jury was split 11-1, with 11 jurors leaning toward a finding that Clancy was not criminally responsible because of mental illness.The mistrial does not clear Clancy of the charges.
