HCL Group will invest ₹500 crore to expand its IT City in Lucknow, adding up to 9.5 lakh square feet of capacity that can accommodate around 4,500 technology professionals, the company said on Tuesday, October 6.

The announcement was made as HCLTech marked the 10th anniversary of its operations in Lucknow in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and HCLTech Chairperson Roshni Nadar Malhotra.

The proposed expansion is expected to further strengthen Lucknow’s position as a technology and global capability centre (GCC) hub, HCL Group said.
