Hexaware Tech says no evidence of systems or customer data breach after leakage claim


IT services and solutions provider Hexaware Technologies Ltd on Wednesday (August 19) said there is no reliable evidence of a breach of its systems or customer environments following non-mainstream media reports about a threat actor alleging possible exposure of certain employee information.

“This is to clarify that as per internal investigation of the matter there is no reliable evidence of breach of our systems or customer environments. The information referenced appears to be outdated and does not contain any sensitive information. No critical systems of the Company nor the data of our customers have been compromised,” according to a stock exchange filing.

The company said it has implemented multiple layers of security controls across its systems and places importance on system security, data privacy and customer trust.

Hexaware Technologies said it is treating the reported matter seriously and is currently assessing and verifying the details of the claim. It added that appropriate actions will be taken wherever required.

The clarification was issued in response to reports based on a post by a threat actor alleging possible exposure of employee information.

Shares of Hexaware Technologies Ltd ended at ₹549.90, down by ₹3.40, or 0.61%, on the BSE.
