Hulk Hogan bought this Florida mansion for $3.3 million in 2012; six months after his death, it went on the market for nearly $11 million |

Hulk Hogan’s former Florida mansion attracted attention after it was put on the market for nearly $11 million, around six months after the wrestling legend died in July 2025. Hogan had purchased the Gulf-front Clearwater Beach property for about $3.33 million in 2012, giving it a price history that stretches back more than a decade. The three-storey residence, located at 1040 Eldorado Avenue, covers roughly 5,400 square feet and sits directly along the Gulf of Mexico. It features five bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, a private elevator, a heated swimming pool, a spa and extensive outdoor living areas. The property was initially listed for $10.989 million in January 2026, although its asking price was later reduced as the home remained on the market.

Hogan purchased the Clearwater Beach property in 2012 for approximately $3.33 million. At the time, the wrestler was moving from an even larger residence in the Tampa Bay area. Before buying the Clearwater Beach mansion, Hogan owned a sprawling home in nearby Belleair. That property reportedly measured about 12,000 square feet and was sold for approximately $6.2 million in April 2012. The Clearwater Beach purchase therefore represented a significant change in scale. Instead of another enormous estate, Hogan acquired a more compact but highly desirable beachfront home. The property’s location was one of its biggest attractions. It sits directly on Clearwater Beach, giving the residence access to the Gulf of Mexico and expansive water views. Over the following years, the house became one of the properties associated with Hogan’s life in Florida.

The three-storey property has more than 5,000 square feet of space

The mansion was built in 2009 and covers approximately 5,400 square feet across three floors. The design combines Mediterranean and Italian-inspired architecture with classical details. The entrance features a grand double staircase, while large windows bring natural light into the interior and provide views towards the Gulf. The property contains five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. It also includes a private elevator, making it easier to move between the three levels of the house.Inside, the residence features marble and stone finishes, teak details and a gas fireplace. The kitchen is designed as a chef’s kitchen, while the home’s large windows and open spaces make the surrounding beach and Gulf views a central part of the design. The primary bedroom is particularly spacious, measuring about 1,000 square feet.It includes a sitting area, a morning bar, a spa-style bathroom and a large walk-in wardrobe. The suite also opens towards a terrace overlooking the Gulf.

The mansion comes with extensive outdoor living space

The property’s appeal extends well beyond its interior. The home has nearly 1,500 square feet of covered outdoor living space, providing several areas where residents can spend time outside while remaining protected from the Florida sun. There is also a heated swimming pool and spa.The direct beach access is another major feature. Rather than simply offering a view of the Gulf, the property is positioned directly on Clearwater Beach. The combination of beachfront access, private outdoor space and a substantial residence helped give the property its multimillion-dollar value. For a celebrity homeowner, the location also offered a degree of privacy while remaining close to the wider Tampa Bay area.

Hogan later bought the property next door

Hogan’s connection to the location became even larger several years after his original purchase. In 2016, he bought the neighbouring property for approximately $1.6 million. That residence is separate from the main mansion and reportedly measures about 2,062 square feet. It has four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The distinction between the two properties is important because the nearly $11 million listing concerns Hogan’s main Gulf-front mansion. The neighbouring house was also separately marketed, meaning Hogan’s former Clearwater Beach holdings should not be treated as one single property when discussing the listing prices.Together, however, the adjacent properties illustrate how Hogan expanded his presence along the Clearwater Beach waterfront during his years there.

The mansion initially hit the market for $10.989 million

The main property was listed for $10.989 million in January 2026.The asking price represented a substantial increase from the approximately $3.33 million Hogan paid for the mansion in 2012. On a simple comparison, the initial asking price was around 3.3 times the original purchase price. The difference between the two figures is approximately $7.66 million. However, this should not be described as Hogan or his estate making a $7.66 million profit. The $10.989 million figure was an asking price rather than a completed sale price. The property’s eventual sale price, if and when it changes hands, could be significantly different from the original listing price.

The asking price was later reduced by millions

The mansion’s initial $10.989 million price did not hold. As the property remained on the market, the asking price was reduced by roughly $2 million to about $8.99 million.By June 2026, reports indicated that the price had been reduced again to approximately $7.9 million. That represents a substantial reduction from the original asking price of nearly $11 million.Even at $7.9 million, however, the property would still be marketed at well over twice the amount Hogan paid for it in 2012.This makes the home’s changing price particularly interesting. The initial listing generated attention because of the enormous difference between Hogan’s purchase price and the asking price, while the later reductions showed that the estate was willing to adjust its expectations in response to the market.

Hogan died at the Clearwater Beach property in July 2025

The mansion’s appearance on the market also came after a significant event in Hogan’s personal life. Hogan died on July 24, 2025, at the age of 71.He suffered cardiac arrest at his Clearwater Beach home. Emergency services responded to the property, and Hogan was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. His death came more than 13 years after he bought the residence. The timing of the listing therefore attracted considerable attention. The mansion entered the market roughly six months after Hogan’s death, giving the property a strong connection to the final chapter of the wrestler’s life.

The property has become part of Hogan’s Florida legacy

Hogan was closely associated with Florida for decades, both professionally and personally. The Clearwater Beach mansion represented his later years in the state and was considerably smaller than the enormous Belleair residence he had previously owned. Its location also reflected the value of Florida’s Gulf Coast luxury property market. Waterfront homes in established beach communities can command significant prices because buyers are paying not only for the structure itself but also for the land, views, beach access and location. For Hogan’s former home, the celebrity connection adds another layer of interest. The property began with a purchase price of about $3.33 million in 2012, reached an initial asking price of $10.989 million in 2026 and was subsequently repriced several times. The mansion’s real estate journey therefore extends beyond its connection to one of wrestling’s most recognisable figures. It also illustrates how a prime piece of Clearwater Beach property can undergo a dramatic change in valuation over more than a decade, while the property’s association with Hogan gives the residence a distinctive place in Florida’s celebrity real estate history.
