Indians Killed In West Asia Conflict: 16 Indians, including 10 seamen, killed in Middle East conflict: Government | India News

NEW DELHI: Since the outbreak of the Middle East conflict earlier this year, sixteen Indian nationals, including 10 seafarers, have lost their lives in the region (eight in Oman, four in UAE, two in Kuwait and one each in Iran and Saudi Arabia) and 75 have been injured, said the government in Parliament.Responding to a written question in Rajya Sabha, MoS (MEA) Kirti Vardhan Singh said that in a separate accident not related to attacks, 12 Indian nationals lost their lives in Ras Laffan Gas Facility in Qatar.“Government, in coordination with the host governments, has extended all possible assistance to the families of the deceased Indian nationals for early repatriation of the mortal remains to India.The injured Indian nationals received medical treatment in local hospitals.Indian Embassies and Consulates coordinated with the local authorities and the hospitals for regular updates on the health condition and extended all required assistance,” said the minister.
