Info Edge Q2 update: Billings rise 13%, 99acres growth accelerates; shares fall 3%

Shares of Info Edge (India) Ltd. fell nearly 3% on Thursday, October 8, as the parent company of Naukri reported a 12.8% year-on-year (YoY) rise in standalone billings to ₹822.3 crore for the quarter that ended on September 30, 2026. On an adjusted basis, management estimated underlying standalone billings growth of around 14% YoY.

The company’s recruitment solutions business reported billings of ₹613.8 crore, up 12.6% YoY from ₹545 crore in the year-ago quarter. After adjusting for the timing of customer renewals, underlying recruitment growth was estimated at around 14%-15% YoY.

Recruitment billings can fluctuate between quarters depending on when customers renew their contracts. Info Edge said underlying growth was also around 15% in the first quarter of FY27, when renewal timing had lifted reported growth to 17.5%.

The company also said adoption of its business-to-business artificial intelligence products continued to increase, with AI-Rex and Talent Pulse seeing growth in both new customer sign-ups and revenue contribution.

99acres growth accelerates

Real estate platform 99acres reported a 21.2% YoY increase in billings to ₹148.3 crore in Q2FY27, accelerating from 16.5% growth in the previous quarter. Its share of category traffic remained stable, with web time-share at 49% and app time-share at 59% in July and August 2026, according to SimilarWeb.

Matchmaking billings grow 23%

In the matchmaking business, Jeevansathi’s billings rose 18.4% YoY to ₹39.7 crore. Aisle billings grew 40%, taking combined matchmaking billings growth to 23.1% in Q2FY27.

Shiksha remained a weak spot, with billings falling 27.2% YoY to ₹20.5 crore. Info Edge said the platform’s traffic and billings have come under pressure as artificial intelligence-driven search increasingly answers user queries directly, reducing search referrals.

The company said it is adapting Shiksha’s model and introducing new offerings to reduce its dependence on search, but expects billings growth to remain under pressure in the interim as these initiatives scale.

For the first half of FY27, Info Edge’s standalone billings grew 13.5% YoY to ₹1,559.3 crore. Recruitment billings rose 14.9%, 99acres grew 19.2%, and Jeevansathi increased 16.3%, while Shiksha billings declined 24.5%.

The Q2 numbers are unaudited and were released ahead of the official financial results, subject to review and approval by the Audit Committee, Board and statutory auditors.

Shares of Info Edge are looking to recover from the lows of the day, currently trading 1.3% lower at ₹1,209.1. The stock is down 10% so far this year.
