India’s second-largest IT services firm Infosys today announced its earnings for the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27. The company’s consolidated profit after tax (PAT) grew 12.2 per cent year-on-year to Rs 7,769 crore in the June quarter. The PAT stood at Rs 6,921 crore in the year-ago period.
The IT major’s revenue from operations increased 13 per cent YoY to Rs 48,211 crore in Q1 FY27. It stood at Rs 42,279 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
Earnings Before Interest and Taxes (EBIT) rose 15.4 per cent YoY in quarter ended June 2026 to come in at Rs 10,163 crore, compared with Rs 8,803 crore reported in the same quarter of FY26. The EBIT margin improved marginally to 21.08 per cent in Q1 FY27 from 20.82 per cent in the year-ago period, reflecting continued operational efficiency.
Along with the quarterly results, Infosys’ board approved the appointment of Ashiss Kumar Dash as the CEO-designate of the company.
“Based on the recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, effective today, the Board approved and appointed Ashiss Kumar Dash as the Chief Executive Officer Designate (“CEO Designate”) of the Company until March 31, 2027. Further, the Board approved its intention to appoint Ashiss Kumar Dash as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Company with effect from April 1, 2027, upon fulfilment of all statutory requirements,” Infosys said in an exchange filing.
