Intellect Design Arena signs corporate banking transformation deal with UAE lender

Intellect Design Arena Ltd has entered into a strategic partnership with a leading Sharjah-based financial institution to modernise the lender’s corporate banking platform, according to an exchange filing on Thursday, July 23.

The UAE-based bank will replace its legacy, product-centric systems with a unified, digital-first transaction banking platform aimed at strengthening its corporate banking offerings and supporting business growth across the region, the company said.

As part of the engagement, the bank will deploy Intellect’s end-to-end transaction banking suite, including Digital Onboarding, Cash Management (CBX), Virtual Account Management (VAM), Collections and Liquidity Management.

The platform is built on the company’s microservices-based eMACH.ai architecture.

According to the filing, the implementation is expected to help the lender strengthen its liability franchise, streamline corporate banking operations and accelerate growth in its corporate portfolio.

The transformation is also intended to enhance the digital experience for corporate clients and support the UAE’s evolving business ecosystem.

“The partnership reflects a fundamental shift in how banks are reimagining corporate banking for the next decade,” Manish Maakan, Group Chief Revenue Officer and CEO – Wholesale Banking at Intellect Design Arena, said.

“Today’s leading financial institutions are moving beyond digitising existing processes to building intelligent, composable platforms that continuously adapt to evolving customer expectations and business opportunities,” he added.
