RANCHI: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) senior leader and minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu has died following a heart attack on Sunday.Kumar, the legislator from Giridih, served as Jharkhand’s higher and technical education and urban development minister. He also held the tourism, arts, culture, sports and youth affairs portfolios.The JMM expressed shock over his death, describing him as a dedicated party worker and minister in the Jharkhand government.“The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha family is stunned and heart-broken by the untimely demise of Sudivya Kumar, a dedicated comrade of JMM and a Minister in Jharkhand government,” the party said in a post on X.“His departure is an irreparable loss for the party, the government and Jharkhand,” the JMM added.Kumar was a legislator from Giridih and had held several key portfolios in the state government.
