‘Thudakkam’ has opened in theatres with Mohanlal‘s daughter Vismaya Mohanlal stepping into acting.Directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, Mohanlal also makes a special appearance in the project. Antony Perumbavoor and his son Ashish Joe Antony are also part of the cast.A promotional video from Aashirvad Cinemas has now revealed an interesting detail about the film’s casting. Jude Anthany Joseph said he had approached Mohanlal’s wife Suchitra Mohanlal about appearing in the movie.

Jude revealed in the video that he had repeatedly requested Suchitra to join the cast. He also joked that her participation would have turned the project into a complete family affair.“I asked Chechi many times. I told her that the film would only be complete if she also came on board. But she didn’t come. Chechi backed out at the last minute. There was every possibility of making this a full-fledged family film. Even Lal sir had agreed to it. But Chechi said, ‘No, no, I won’t,'” Jude Anthany Joseph said.
Vismaya Mohanlal receives encouraging response
With the film now in theatres, the first audience reactions have started appearing online.One viewer praised her acting and dubbing.
